Starting his career in the music industry, J. Pennyfeather honed his skills in curating musical events in high-profile venues. Through his experience working closely with venues and event organizers, J. Pennyfeather developed a keen interest in venue management and security operations.
Driven by a desire to elevate safety standards in the entertainment and hospitality industries, J. Pennyfeather embarked on a journey to establish his own security firm. Drawing upon his extensive network and deep understanding of venue dynamics, J. Pennyfeather founded Empire Security & Protection with a mission to redefine the standards of security services, offering tailored solutions that prioritize safety, professionalism, and client satisfaction.

Angela Pennyfeather – is the powerhouse behind Empire Security & Protection’s operational excellence and brand evolution. As Chief Operating Officer, she oversees daily operations, client relations, and marketing strategy, ensuring every partnership reflects Empire’s core values of professionalism, reliability, and innovation.
Before joining the security industry, Angela built an award-winning career in marketing and experiential strategy, leading high-profile campaigns for global luxury brands such as Gucci, LVMH, and Saks Fifth Avenue. Her creative direction has shaped major destinations including Fifth Avenue, Coney Island, and the Tribeca Film Festival, bringing visibility and impact to every project she touches.
Known for her intuitive leadership and results-driven approach, Angela bridges business strategy with heart—developing teams, empowering communities, and redefining what it means to lead with purpose.
Executive Assistant to the CEO
Nani Borges – serves as the Executive Assistant to the CEO, J Pennyfeather, and has established herself as a key aide to daily operations. Utilizing her experience in the arts and hospitality, she has taken the lead in adding cultural sensitivity elements to training and facilitating client relations on behalf of J Pennyfeather. She is excited to be the most recent addition to the team.
Payroll & HR Manager
Karen Baez is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in healthcare operations and human resources. For 20 years, she served as a Program Manager at one of the largest hospitals in the DMV area.
She spearheaded numerous initiatives that improved operational efficiency and patient care. During her tenure, Karen successfully:

Sean Fortune – Is a Director of Training Manager at Empire Security, where he is responsible for overseeing multiple security sites and managing client relations. With a strong focus on operational efficiency, Sean ensures that all security measures are effectively implemented across his district.
